WHAT'S SO DIFFERENT

We’re a community based on difference.

We’ve developed a process that, however you begin, brings you companionship and a greater sense of belonging. It playfully encourages you to envision a happier future. It addresses the isolation and exhaustion endemic in our cultural loss of community. It brings depth and greater meaning to relationships.

We’ve been experimenting for over a decade. So, we know it’s sustainable. And we know that its endlessly renewing vitality - the vitality of a community we unwittingly created – depends upon diversity.

We want to share the fruits of this experiment. Bring us your challenges, difficulties, your hopes and fears. Tell us what you are lacking, personally or in company with others. We have some ideas of how we might help. Help us to realise those.

Or come to any of our in-person or online events.

Our backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities and histories are really different. We span three generations. Sometimes we might be wonderful company for each other; other times a complete pain. We’ve learnt to be kind and considerate to ourselves, and from that to share what we’re feeling, rather than to hammer into our shared space and time simply our thoughts or opinions. We’re learning to appreciate, and to be grateful for, the richness of lives that are not ours.  We share deeper parts of ourselves. Kindness, care, love and compassion spontaneously arise.

This is not fool-proof. It takes practice, and guidance. We’d be offering that to you, whether you’re an individual, a group, an existing, or evolving, community.

Nature as teacher

You’ve only to examine the ancient, species-rich UK hedgerow to see the value of diversity and seasonal change. The sheer variety of plants, trees, shrubs and fungi in all their individual lifecycles creates nourishment and renewal for residents and visitors.

Inside, we humans are on the move. Cells die, decay, are renewed or repaired. Physically, we’re never the same. Equally, we can review, refresh or fundamentally alter how we see ourselves, the world, our place, our values and our potential.

Including our relationship to love.

Equal place, equal voice

This is fundamental to our community. No one greater or lesser than. But it only works if everyone uses that voice and shares with everyone else. Here is our greatest stumbling block. Whether out of laziness, overwhelm, lack of confidence or low self-esteem, some of us can be slow to contribute.

This is where

you count

you matter

you too are of value

are truly valued

can unlock the separation and the no-flow.

What’s so deep about the wisdom?

None of this would have been possible without the guidance and frequent participation of Judith Seelig. What makes her wisdom so ‘deep’? A life long-lived, continuously meeting head on and unmoving, challenge or difficulty, a relentless capacity to laugh, love and delight in people, places, Nature, all built on am I going mad or dying? consciousness-altering experiences, some whilst washing up, others on mountaintops or in the emptiness of deserts.
